Red Leaves

I read this book in 2 nights, only because the first night I was so sleepy. I would have read it in one sitting if I could have stayed awake. This was a great book, told from a father's point of view. His teenage son babysits and the 8 year old girl is missing the next morning. So many bits of evidence point to his son and the father immediately wonders if his son is guilty of a crime. As he is dealing with so many issues, his own childhood and family is constantly coming to his mind. He must work through his first family's past and his current family's present and future.
This book also made me wonder if I would be so quick to think my child guilty of a crime. I think that even if evidence pointed toward my child I would still think my child innocent, especially if my child was proclaiming innocence. I thought it very interesting that he automatically assumed his child could and possibly was guilty of this crime. Very interesting and exciting story.
Rating: 4.5/5
